Whether you spot her out and about, grab a selfie, or invite her to visit your event, Joanna is here to help spread the excitement as Carnival Day gets closer!

Joanna the Jeep Selfie Competition – Rules

Think you’ve taken the best photo with Joanna the Carnival Jeep? We’d love to see it!

Take a selfie (or get creative!), share it on Instagram and you could win one of our fantastic Carnival prizes.

1. Who Can Enter?

• The competition is open to everyone.
• Anyone under 18 should enter with the permission or involvement of a parent or guardian.
• Whitstable Carnival Committee members are welcome to enter for fun, but if they are selected as a prize winner they agree to donate the prize back to the Carnival.

2. How to Enter

To enter:

1. Find Joanna the Carnival Jeep around Whitstable.
2. Take your best photo or selfie with her.
3. Post your photo on Instagram.
4. Tag @WhitstableCarnival in your post.

There is no limit to the number of entries you can submit.

Entries close at 11:59pm on Friday 31st July 2026. Unfortunately, late entries cannot be accepted.

3. Your Photo

Please make sure:

• The photo is your own original work.
• It has not been created or significantly altered using AI image generation.
• It does not contain offensive, abusive, hateful, violent, explicit or illegal content.
• It does not infringe anyone else’s copyright or intellectual property.

By entering, you give Whitstable Carnival permission to share, repost and use your photo on our website, social media channels and future Carnival publicity without additional payment.

4. Choosing the Winners

This is a community competition!

The winners will be determined by the number of Instagram likes each eligible entry receives before entries close.

We have multiple prizes, so there will be several winners rather than just one.

The Whitstable Carnival Committee reserves the right to remove entries that do not comply with these rules.

5. Prizes

A growing list of prizes can be found on this page.

Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.

Any taxes or other liabilities associated with accepting a prize are the responsibility of the winner.

6. Winner Announcement

Winning Instagram accounts will be announced on Whitstable Carnival Day (1st August 2026) and published on this page.

Winners must respond within 7 days of being contacted. If no response is received, Whitstable Carnival reserves the right to offer the prize to another eligible entrant.

Winners may be asked to provide proof of identity or ownership of the Instagram account used to enter.

7. General Terms

By entering this competition you agree to these rules.

Whitstable Carnival is not responsible for entries that cannot be submitted due to technical issues, internet failures or Instagram service interruptions.

We reserve the right to cancel, amend or suspend the competition if circumstances beyond our control make this necessary.

The judges’ and organisers’ decisions are final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the results.

Any personal information collected as part of the competition will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR requirements.
